Bollywood Film maker in Switzerland
After a busy x-mas time I enjoyed two weeks of holidays. I helped my brother and his wife to refurbish their new house. By the way, in July I will move into this house. It has a huge garden. I am sure we will have many BBQ.
Anyway at the end of my holidays Amar the king of tea came to see the land of chocolate and cheese. We spent a few days traveling around Switzerland and visiting all Hillsong Swissies. In Zürich we met Raffael. At Savoy at Bahnhofstrasse we had the most expensive coffee I ever drank: 7 AUD! Wow, we will never forget the taste of the bill :).
The next day we went to see Bern (the capitol and the most beautiful city in Switzerland… I am biased…I know). Tom and I tried to explain the meaning of all the statues, fountains and all the other old stuff and realized that we do not have a clou of all the historic sights in our city.

On Tuesday we took a little tour through Emmental and in Langnau we picked David up. A little later we arrived in Lucern and met Rahel. She guided through the second most beautiful city of Switzerland. She even prepared herself and read a tourist guide. Thanks Rahel for all the meaningful insights into the architecture of Lucern :).
On our last day we took a trip to Lenk, the place in the mountain where I have got the privilege to work. It was just like in a fairy tale. It was the most amazing sunny day and plenty of snow. It was the ideal scene for a Bollywood movie. Sadly enough Amar forgot his camera to shoot. What a shame.

To round the day up Amar cooked real Indian curry and made one last cup of tea. Thank’s Amar for all the tea, the talks and the fire which you made every day!
All right now I am back to work again. I am looking forward to celebrate each day of 2007. I am sure God will be amazing as usual and I am passionate to see His kingdom grow. I am not gonna shrink back. I want to live in His fullness and dance like no one is watching: simply out of the box! Love you God!

New Year’s Eve
There is not much to say: we (Amar, Andreas, Iris, Carina, Tom, Daniel, Yolanda and I) laughed our heads off and had fun like little kids when the table bombs exploded. The evening reached the climax as we played Amazing Grace on our little instruments.

X-Mas Spectacular in my church (www.paf-kirchberg.ch)
To celebrate Jesus' birthday we wrapped the church building in red paper as a gift for the whole community. It was a great night with a talking morning star and plenty of nice food. I really enjoyed celebrating real winter x-mas (although the snow was missing...).

Onion Party (Zibelemärit) in Bern
There is nothing like the onion party in Bern. Every year hundreds of farmers sell their onions on this market. It starts early in the morning at 5pm. The whole city is full of people and you can smell onion cake and hot wine.
Nicole, Loulou and I got up very early and traveled to Bern. We bought a lot of confetti and a plastic hammer. After having a coffee we entered the confetti battle. You always try to throw the confetti in some strangers’ mouth. Very funny… If someone hits you with confetti you hit them back with the plastic hammer.

Caving in Nidleloch
Each month my friend Tom and I organize a fun event for church. We started off with a caving tour into Nidleloch (translation: the cream cave). With head lamps and hiking shoes we started our trip to the center of the world… It was a bit scary. We had to climb and crawl on our knees. One particular part was really small and we had to lie flat on the tummy to make it through. On our lunch break we celebrated the birthday of Elise (my French flat mate) with cake and candles. Dirty form the top to the bottom we left the cave. I enjoyed this trip but for one week I could feel every muscle in my body. What a torture!

Swiss-Connection in Switzerland (www.swiss-connection.org)
For the first time since I have returned to Switzerland I met my Swiss Hillsong friends again. We meet four times a year to encourage each other and stay connected with one another. It was great to talk about the good old times, about Sydney and college. We even had a live Skype connection with Australia. Nic told us the latest news. We almost cracked up as he told us that now Phil Dooley is in charge of Worship ministry. After a while we realized that it is not a joke…. Anyway we had fun and I am sure Phil will do a god job in Darlene’s foot steps!
It was encouraging to exchange news and talk about our plans and challenges. Indeed we will turn Switzerland up side down in Jesus name!

Intensive Study Week: Church Planting
In October I spent one week with five of my study friends and Dr. Johannes Reimer in Oberägeri (looks a bit like paradise) thinking and talking about church planting. It has been a great time and I left from there very inspired. Besides lectures we spent time rowing, eating, swimming and going to the sauna. It was a great experience and I am passionate to invest my life into the kingdom of God. As a bonus I met my friend Jutta.
